Cheshire East Council
Working alongside urban design firm Gillespies, we developed and installed a series of interlinked art interventions to reimagine the town centre in Crewe. The finished works encompass a vibrant, painted floor installation, large-scale super graphics applied to a covered market, and a painted installation on a new shipping container stage.
The people of Crewe generated the design during extensive consultation. The project pays homage to the region's rail industry while delivering a modern and vibrant new destination for the community to enjoy and new commercial opportunities to flourish. Opened in July 2023.
